Halloween 2020 canceled? With Halloween around the corner and many confused if this holiday is canceled worldwide, here are a few ideas to use to maintain social distancing:
Throw a virtual Halloween party with friends on zoom. With this, you and your friends can still get dressed and show off your costumes by creating and finding games to play like Halloween trivia or bingo. It is also a trend that certain apps, like zoom, makes it easy to watch a movie together on the same screen. With this, everyone could get their favorite snacks or candy while watching Halloween movies together.
This idea could also be used within a family by decorating the house and making each room a place to collect candy as you would do regularly. You and your family could also bake Halloween treats like these seen on https://www.delish.com/holiday-recipes/halloween/g314/halloween-party-tr…
Many towns are issuing whether they’re still allowing people to trick or treat in the neighborhood. If this is something your town decides to allow, get creative to still maintain everyone’s safety. As seen on YouTube many people are making a candy slide to slide candy down into children’s candy bags, to maintain the 6 feet distance. There has also been a talk about creating goody bags to also maintain these safety concerns
For those who still go trick or treating or take children out, it is very important to keep your masks on at all times and to keep hand sanitizer on hand. Most importantly be sure to wash your hands at the end of your night. Although these options are not the same and totally different than a traditional Halloween, I feel that these alternatives still share the holiday spirit, and can give people something to do while being safe.
