There are many great events happening on campus this month so get your calendar and save these dates! Let’s explore some great new opportunities to advance your career and have fun with friends on campus.
The Job & Internship Fair
This is one of the most important events of the semester.
The Event Description on Handshake includes “This event is open to students from all majors, years, and career interests. Employers from multiple industries will be here to talk to WCU students and alumni about full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities. Dress for an interview and bring copies of your resume. To see a listing of employers that will be represented log into your Handshake account and click on “Events.” Avoid the long check-in line on the day of the Fair and pre-register for the event through Handshake.”
In order to prepare for this make sure your resume is updated and that it’s the best version it can be. Dress professionally, make sure you dress to impress. Practice your elevator pitch and make a few new connections that could lead to a new job or internship.
