Your Guide to Late Night Eats in Downtown London

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Western chapter.

In university, late night eating becomes a common fad in ending off any drunken or sober night. It’s a great way to eat good food, meet people or just stuff your face. For those trying to eat healthy, or who aren’t looking to gain that freshman 15, downtown London is not your friend. Richmond Street is home to a wide variety of restaurants, fast food and the perfect late night munch. Read here for the low down of the best late night eats.

1. Burger Burger

Just recently opened last year, Burger Burger is the perfect place to go for late night munch, a good chill and fun music. Best of all, it is conveniently 10 steps away from The Barking Frog.

2. Smoke’s Poutinerie

You’re from Canada eh? So you must eat poutine eh? For us Canadians, poutine is not only a staple food, but a delicious late night treat. Real cheese has curds, right?

3. Little Caesars

What better combination than cheese and tomato sauce? Pizza is the way to my heart, and the best part about this pizza joint is its inexpensive prices. Walk there instead of ordering in and you can get your own pizza for $7!

4. Prince Albert’s

If you’re looking for sit down food, Prince Al’s is the place for you. From their greasy diner food to late night poutine and greek fries, this is the place to be. Warning: after a certain hour the music gets very loud and aggressive.

5. Sam’s Souvlaki Truck

This truck food is a classic late night munch spot in downtown London. Located right beside the train tracks and across from Molly Bloom’s, Sam’s has yummy greek fries you won’t want to miss.

6. Hot Dog Vendors

As for my personal favourite: street meat. Although you may never know exactly what type of meat you are eating, these hot dogs will satisfy your hunger. Don’t forget to add those hickory sticks on top for extra crunch.
