I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube style and beauty videos lately, and decided I would try something similar on my own in the form of a fashion blog-style piece. Being a shopaholic, I add new pieces to my wardrobe on a semi-regular basis. I have compiled an assortment of 8 of my favourite articles of clothing that I own to share with you guys. Hopefully this will give all you Her Campus readers some style inspiration for your next shopping trip!
1) Cozy burgundy/black fade sweater
Why I love it: This is a nice cozy sweater that is perfect for staying warm in the fall/winter. It’s baggy, but not too baggy that it looks frumpy. It is oversized and perfect for those days when you still want to look presentable, but would rather take comfort over style.
Store: H&M
2) Criss-cross back blazer
Why I love it: This is a great blazer for everyday wear. It can dress up an outfit, or be worn in a business-casual setting. The open concept of it without a collar makes it less formal. A cool feature is the criss-cross back.
Store: M for Mendocino
3) Patterned Crop Top
Why I love it: This crop top has a unique pattern like nothing else in my closet. It resembles a pattern on blue and white china dishes. I love the colour scheme.
Store: Topshop
4) Red Frill Cami with scoop back
Why I love it: This cami is a beautiful shade of red that can add a nice pop of colour to any outfit. It looks good under a blazer or even by itself with jeans or a skirt for a night out. I love the high neckline in the front and the criss cross low back.
Store: Zara
5) Patterned White Long-Sleeve
Why I love it: This is a perfect item for fall/winter weather. If you don’t want to go with a heavy sweater for the day, this is a nice light stylish piece that you can throw over a tank top and pair with leggings, a beanie and some riding boots.
Store: PacSun
6) Sweater Blazer
Why I love it: I like this piece because it has the buttons that make it look like a blazer but it’s sweater material. I’m a big fan of the salt-and-pepper style, and this serves as either a light jacket or a sweater to go under a coat. It’s multi-purpose!
Store: Juicy Couture
7) Dark Washed-out Jeggings
Why I love it: These jeggings are great for the fall in their darker wash. The washed out look gives them a uniqueness unlike regular jeans, and the thin material makes it feel like you’re wearing leggings instead of jeans. They look great with everything.
Store: Zara
8) Zip Up Pencil Skirt
Why I love it: This skirt is a nice subtle colour that goes with a lot of things. It’s purple-white colour mixed with a black zipper in the front give it a trendy look. It is long enough to be appropriate for meetings, but can also be used for events.
