Excited is an understatement when we say we have something new to share… In a recent meeting over coffee at Honey Bake Shop with Soheyla from American Apparel Waterloo (she is also a Laurier student! Check out her Campus Cutie coming soon!), we have decided to do a series on American Apparel! Each week we will be posting an article dedicated to the fashion and lifestyle of AA. This will include any deets about the brand, news about our local store (including sales!! Read further…) and style tips and outfits by the brand. This week we will be covering their sale happening this Friday, some of their freshest, must-have items and shutting down some rumors!
JANUARY 29TH 2016 (AKA TOMORROW!!)…
Mark it down in your calendar because you’re not going to want to miss this. AA Waterloo is having a student sale this Friday with 20% off the entire store – including new items. They already have tons of items marked down to 50% off so go and grab those while you can. Additionally, select winter essentials are going to be $20 off. Since winter is never over around here and spring will hopefully make it’s way around soon, what better time for a sale like this?

I thought they were going out of business????
Not True! This was a subject on the rumor mill for quite some time, but fortunately it is not true. American Apparel actually went through a financial restructuring process, and released a public statement about it: “you may have heard about our financial restructuring- this is a positive development for us. We chose to file Chapter 11 under bankruptcy law to keep American Apparel in business. This will allow us to remain the largest clothing manufacturer in North America and to bring you even more of the Made in USA clothes you love.” So, now you know! I hope this clears up any uncertainty you had about shopping at American Apparel-it is still cutting edge and tasteful and it is not going anywhere! So, happy shopping and see you all tomorrow!!
