Baking has always been one of my passions and I want to share a few recipes and step-by-step guides to help you unlock your baking potential or just make something edible.

Coffee Cake

This fall treat is a must during the cold seasons. This coffee cake recipe is from Starbucks and always turns out delicious.

Ingredients:

12 Tbsp (tablespoon) unsalted butter (room temperature)

1 ½ cups sugar

3 large eggs

1 ½ tsp (teaspoon) vanilla

1 ¼ cups Greek yogurt (a wet measuring cup works best)

2 ½ cup cake flour (regular flour is fine)

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

Put these ingredients into a bowl two at a time and mix after each addition.

The topping:

1/3 cup light brown sugar

2/3 cup all-purpose flour

1 ½ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp salt

4 Tbsp cold butter

Mix together and put the topping in the middle of the cake batter before you bake it.

Bake at 325° F for 30 mins!

Apple Pie

Apple pie is a must for Thanksgiving, Christmas or any holiday. Although making an apple pie sounds difficult, this recipe helps make it as easy as possible for you to follow along. This recipe is my own and is very flexible.

Ingredients for crust:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/3 butter

½ salt

8 Tbsp cold water

Knead this into a ball and wrap it up in plastic wrap, you will stick this into the fridge for at least 30 minutes or whenever you’re done with the filling.

Ingredients for filling:

10 green apples, peeled and sliced

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 Tbsp nutmeg

2 Tbsp cinnamon

½ Tbsp lemon juice

Mix the filling, take the dough out of the fridge and roll, and put the filling into the pie tray lined with the crust.

Ingredients for optional crumble topping:

3 cups rolled oats

2 cups of brown sugar

¼ cup butter

If you choose to use the crumble topper, put the mixture on top before baking.

350° F for 45 mins – to warm up heat at 375° for 20 mins.

Taylor Swift’s Chai Cookie

Taylor Swift’s chai cookies have been all over the internet lately. Chai is the perfect fall treat; adding it to a cookie is even better.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/3 cup vegetable oil

2 Tbsp milk

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 large egg

2 tsp vanilla

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

2 chai packets

2 tsp cinnamon

Combine all ingredients. Roll the dough into balls and spin them in sugar before putting them on the tray. This will give them a sugar cookie taste.

Icing:

1 cup powdered sugar

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1 Tbsp milk

This icing recipe is very flexible; add more powdered sugar if you want it thicker and more milk if you want it thinner.

Bake at 350°F for 9 minutes.

These are just a few recipes that may seem hard to make but are very attainable! These recipes are flexible in some way and you can change the portions however you’d like. Have fun baking this fall!
