How to Prepare for Midterms, As Told by Taylor Swift

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

Exams can be stressful, but these tips from the perspective of Taylor Swift can help you conquer midterm stress like Taylor conquers a break up.

1. Breathe

Before you begin stressing about midterms, Taylor would probably tell you to take a deep breath. This seems to be how she begins to solve all of her problems.

2. Try to Keep Your Cool

Going crazy during exams doesn’t do anyone good. Learn from Taylor and avoid having people see that you’re going insane!

3. Find a Good De-stresser

Taking time from studying to de-stress will be a big help in coping with midterms. For example, pets have the ability to help you lose some of that tension and make you feel better. This is probably the reason why Taylor’s cats, Meredith and Olivia, are her most prized possessions.

4. Study in Groups

Taking midterms on with a group of friends makes studying a little less stressful. Taylor has taught us that a good squad can get you through anything.

5.  Hygiene

Although it may seem like you don’t have a spare second during the midterm craze, hygiene is more crucial than you may think for midterms. If you don’t take care of your body, it’s likely you’ll get sick. You’ll also feel a lot better being CLEAN.

6. Be Confident

Having confidence in what you know for your midterm will work wonders while prepping.

7. Exercise

Keep your blood flowing while you’re spending long lengths of time studying. Even if it means getting up to dance awkwardly in your bedroom like Taylor, it still gets the job done.

8. Shake it Off!

At the end of the day, you’ve done all you can, so shake it off. You have no reason to stress at this point. You’re prepared to do great!

You will typically see me with a large cup of tea and browsing social media under the fairy lights and reading up on my favourite lady bosses (Mindy Kaling let me be you please). Also my trivia regarding superheroes is endless. I have more music than time to listen to and someone definitely should consider taking away my blogging privileges. My love for pop culture is limitless and Netflix is the true MVP in my opinion. Contributor writer for HerCampus Laurier Stalk me and let's be friends here: Insta & Twitter: webofem
