It’s the most wonderful time of the year! If you know me, then you know how much I love Christmas and the entire Holiday season. I’m always the one who needs to decorate the Christmas tree with Christmas decorations. For me, it isn’t Christmas until I’m listening to Pentatonix and watching Netflix Holiday movies. I love a cliché romance feel-good movie and Netflix always delivers, so I want to share some of my favourites!

The Holiday Calendar

The Holiday Calendar is the first on the list of movies. It follows Abby, a photographer who doesn’t like her current job and feels like her life isn’t going anywhere. When her grandmother dies, she inherits a magical antique Advent calendar. It may have the ability to predict the future, help her pursue her true passion or even find her soulmate.

The Princess Switch

The Princess Switch is probably one of the most recognizable Netflix Christmas movies. It’s most known for its outlandish sequels. While the sequel movies aren’t my favourite, I love the first movie so much. When Stacy travels to Belgravia for a baking competition, she ends up switching places with Margaret Delacourt, the Duchess of Montenaro. However, things go awry before they can switch back.

A Christmas Prince

Another Netflix Holiday movie classic is A Christmas Prince. The Prince of Aldovia, heir to the throne is known to have a scandalous playboy lifestyle. Everyone wants to know why he hasn’t taken the throne a year after his father passed. Amber, a writer who wants to make her mark is sent to Aldovia to get the scoop on the Prince.

Holidate

Unlike the other movies on this list,  Holidate includes all of the holidays throughout the year. Sloane is the only single person in her family. As a result, her family constantly tries to get her to spend time with people that she doesn’t like during the holidays. She finds someone to be her “Holidate” so her family will leave her alone.

Let it Snow

Let it Snow is a book adaptation of John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle’s book, Let It Snow: Three Holiday Romances. The movie follows three interconnected love stories on Christmas Eve when a snowstorm hits a small midwestern town.

Honourable Mentions: Dash and Lily

Although Dash and Lily is a TV show, I couldn’t talk about Holiday Netflix media without talking about this show. This is another book adaptation inspired by Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohen and David Levithan. It’s an amazing show where Lily, who loves Christmas, leaves a book of dares in a library for whoever finds it. Dash, a modern-day Scrooge, ends up finding it and tells her that he doesn’t like Christmas. But Lily doesn’t give up and is determined to help him find his love of Christmas.

If you’re looking for some holiday cheer, hopefully at least one of these movies will put you in a good mood!
