Has anyone else’s TikTok For-You Page been filled with themed cocktail nights? Mine has and I’m currently planning six different cocktail nights already. If you haven’t heard of the hype, themed cocktail nights are the new go-to for a fun and creative girls’ night in. All you do is coordinate a fun theme and each person creates a fun cocktail based on that theme. I’ve seen so many ideas on TikTok so here are a few for your own cocktail night.
Program
A cute university theme would be drinks based on your program! Imagine all the creativity you could use. A fun health science cocktail could use syringes. You could even make a poli-sci paloma. You can get creative with your drinks and even use your future careers as inspiration. I feel like this is the perfect theme for university girlies, and it’s an adorable way to show pride in your program and get tipsy.
Ex
This is one of the funnier themes I’ve seen on TikTok, with drinks such as “Toxic” margaritas which look violently green and well, toxic! Or there are “Cry Baby” cocktails which use a lot of candies and pacifiers. This is a really fun theme that would definitely get a good laugh all around. Instead of being sad over your ex, make a cocktail throwing shade at them and get drunk with the girls. Perfect healing hack!
Zodiac
This is one for the astrology girlies! Using the more aesthetic vibes of your zodiac sign can create some very pretty drinks, like a Libra Lemon Drop or a Cancer Cosmopolitan. The cocktail creations can be endless and create something pretty for pictures. It’s a fun way to show off your zodiac sign and get hammered.
Jobs
Creating a cocktail based on your job is one of the more popular themes I have seen as well. I’m straight-up unemployed right now so I don’t know what I’d pick (maybe water to sober everyone up) but I’ve seen a lot of cute ideas floating around TikTok. Imagine a fun Bailey’s cocktail for a barista or straight-up Tito’s for retail (because that’s what’s needed to get through a shift in retail). The fact is that there is such a large range of student jobs, meaning that there are some great ideas for cocktails.
Cocktail nights are something you need to experience with your friends at least once! Especially themed ones! It’s so much fun putting effort into it and having a laugh with your girls. Plus, you get to be drunk at the end of it. Totally consider this in the future, especially since it’s getting too cold to go out and stand in those long lines for the club. Bring the party inside and make some cocktails!
