5 Ways to DeStress and Enjoy the Spring!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Williams chapter.

“Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s party!” – Robin Williams

It took long enough, but the weather is finally stellar. We got sunshine and daisies a plenty, critters and rain drops galore.  Hello Spring!

  1. Work it Out

In addition to helping you get insanely fit, exercise is a great way to take study break and  boost your endorphins. And while you’re at it, why not enjoy the sunshine?  Start your day with some Yoga, take a hike, ride a bike, skateboard around the block!

  1. Dine al fresco

Take full advantage of the fresh weather and enjoy a gorgeously scenic meal. Have a picnic at the park, take your brunch date to the porch or lawn, sip your morning coffee (or tea!) outside! Fresh air and good food complement each other well.

  1. Pay attention to Nature

Now is the time to take out that adorable sundress and those flip flops and be mindful of the changing season. Visit the local wildlife sanctuary, go birdwatching, feed the ducks, look for bird nests, or rescue post-rain earthworms.

  1. Take Some Me Time

“Me time” is doing what you love, whatever makes you happy. This can be anything: painting flowers, crafting diy birdhouses, journaling, singing among daffodils, or taking a trip to the farmer’s market.

  1. Channel Your Inner Kid in the Rain.

A little precipitation is no excuse for gloom. Someone once said, “rain is just confetti from the sky,” and sometimes, nostalgia is the way to go. Put on your rain boots and go splash!
