This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winona chapter.

Whether you’re graduating this spring, in December, or still have a bucket load of credits to finish, I challenge you to make the most of the time you have left here in Winona. There is a place for everyone here, whether you are an adventurous soul, a music lover, a food coinsure or a social butterfly. To get you started, here is a list of places to eat and play as you wrap up your time here in the beautiful city between the river and the bluffs.

  1. Visit all of the favorite Winona restaurants:
  • Jefferson’s

  • Acoustic Café
  • Blue Heron Coffee House
  • Mangos
  • Bub’s Brewing Co.
  • Zaza’s Pub and Pizzeria
  • The Boat House
  • Winona Sandwich Company
  • Beno’s Cheese and Deli

    2.   Get together a group of friends and camp on top of Sugar Loaf

    3.   Paddleboard or kayak on Lake Winona (or the back waters)

    5.   Visit J.R. Watkins

    6.   Go to the Frozen River Film Festival (check out dates and showtimes here!)

    8.   Treat yourself to a donut at Bloedow’s

     9.    Listen to some live music, while sipping on a cocktail with some good company at Ed’s No Name Bar

    10.   Sit back and soak up some sunshine on the patio at Elmaro Vineyard

    11.   Join in on one of the many activities UPAC has to offer, whether it is grocery bingo or the spring concert!
