Spring is finally here! After our long, snowy winter, your closet may be messy and over-crowded with coats, boots, and oversized sweatshirts that have been keeping you warm. Now that the new season has arrived, it may be time for you to start your spring-cleaning project. You’ll feel refreshed and accomplished after using some organizational skills.
Here are some helpful tips to keeping your closet organized:
1. Buy some cheap hangers that are all the same size to keep everything at the same height.
2. Color-code your clothes. This will make it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for!
3. Place all of your shoes for the season on a shoe-rack. A shoe-rack will display all of your shoes at once so none of them will be forgotten! You can even organize the shoes on the rack according to color, style, height, etc.
4. Fold all of your sweatshirts or sweaters on a rack to keep them from taking up hanging space.
5. If you have a variety of bags or purses, hanging them on shower curtain hooks is a clever idea to keep them from piling up on the floor.
6. Store all of your “out-of-season” clothing and shoes in a bin or separate storage space to add more space for in-season clothes.
7. Buying a scarf hanger is a great way to keep all scarves visible while taking up minimal closet space.
8. Door hangers are a great way to save space. Whether you’re hanging up a shoe holder, jewelry holder, or hooks for jackets and belts, utilize the door!
All of these tips are easy to do! Organizing can help you feel accomplished and ready to start on other spring-cleaning projects! Organizing will make finding clothing and accessories simple, while keeping everything in order!
