Favorite Study Spots on Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winona chapter.

With this semester coming to an end, finals are right around the corner. Most of us will be stocking up on all of our essentials to get us through the next few weeks. One thing that we tend to forget is to plan the perfect study spot. If you are like me, I end up going to the same location whenever I need to study. By the time finals week hits, I’m burned out and in desperate need of a change of scenery. Hopefully one of these spots will help you get your work done and make your studying a little more enjoyable.

      1.  Solarium

With over 10 different comfy chairs and couches, the Solarium makes for the perfect spot to get some work done. While studying you can catch some rays and enjoy the beautiful view of our campus.

      2. K.E.A.P Diversity Resource Center

The K.E.A.P Diversity Resource Center is located in Kryzsko Commons room 162. If you need a quieter space to get some work done, stop in here for a welcoming atmosphere and a friendly environment.

      3. SLC Study Lounge

If you find yourself in the science building a lot, this is definitely a spot to check out. This study lounge can be found on second floor of SLC by classroom 264. From the comfortable seating to the view of the gorgeous Winona bluffs, it sets the mood for a great afternoon of studying.

      4. PAC Balcony

The balcony in the PAC is a great spot to get some work done. There are many tables to choose from that overlook the middle of campus. Plants also line the side of the balcony creating a relaxing environment to study.

      5. Watkins Study Lounge

This study lounge is a go to spot if you need a quieter space. Invite some friends and use the big study table to spread out and start on your work. There is also a couch and recliner if you need a quick snooze before class. You can find this lounge in Watkins 209.

      6. The Well

The Well is a great place to sit back, relax, and get some work done. From bean bag chairs to the comfy couch, you will never want to leave. This study spot can be found in the IWC room 138.

      7. Student Union

The Student Union is more of a laid back option if you are looking for an open space to study. With multiple food options right down the hall, this is definitely the place to be. There is also a fireplace located close by, where you can warm up on a chilly day.

      8. Lower Baldwin

Lower Baldwin is mostly known for its view of campus. The big glass windows let natural light in and create a perfect spot to get some studying done.

Good luck with finals Warriors, study hard!
