A Girl’s Perspective Of The Super Bowl

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winona chapter.

Super Bowl Sunday is quickly approaching. Some might be thinking, “Thank god, my boyfriend will finally have time for me on Sundays.” Some might think, “Yes! LOTS AND LOTS OF FOOD!” For others, they are thinking who cares? Or what even is the super bowl?

For many of us ladies, we are neglected by men who think that we don’t know a lot about sports because duh, we’re girls and all we care about is the colors matching on the uniforms or who has the best butt. WRONG. Football is a well known thing in my household during the fall, and my roommates know that Sunday at 12 pm, I don’t care where you are, how tired or hungover you are, that the TV is loud and proud and the house has a lovely aroma of food.

Here are  five things that run through the minds of girls during said Super Bowl and maybe a few on how guys look at it too.

1. Who’s that tall glass of water?

2. I could have caught the ball better than he could!

3. I’m just here for Beyonce.

4. Knowing the right terms in football, such as half time and touch down.

5. Realizing that football season is finally over and you have multiple mixed emotions because thankfully you have your man back but that also means another seven months until those uniforms are back on those tight, sexy bods.
