Name: Nolan HucekYear: JuniorHometown: Joliet, ILMajor/Minor: Accounting, Business Administration, and Human ResourcesRelationship Status: Single
Ladies, meet this week’s campus cutie! Nolan is a volleyball-playing, country music-loving, honest man that is always up for a good time out on the town. Oh, and he’s single. ;)
HC: What kinds of things are you involved in on campus?NH (Nolan Hucek): I am President of Pi Sigma Epsilon and I’m involved with the College of Business Dean’s Advisory Board. I am also the Captain of the Winona State Men’s Club Volleyball Team.
HC: Describe yourself in 3 words.NH: Caring, Sarcastic and Honest.
HC: What kind of music do you listen to?NH: Depends on the time of year. My first love is country especially in the summer, but I also like alternative and modern hip hop/R&B.
HC: What is your proudest moment?NH: A more recent proud moment would have to be winning the NIVC conference volleyball tournament. Winona hasn’t won the conference in about 7 or 8 years, so to make it back on top in 2014 was a pretty awesome feeling.
HC: What is one of your life goals?NH: Before I die, I want to have visited all 50 states and every continent, minus Antarctica (although it would be cool to go there, it’s not very practical). I’ve been to 15 of the 50 so far, and I’ll be going to China this spring, so I think it’s attainable.
HC: What is the number one quality you look for in a partner?NH: She has to be personable. I like a girl who can talk to anyone and everyone, and is very confident when doing so. If she’s smart and can carry a conversation, then we will be just fine.
HC: Blondes, brunettes or redheads?NH: For starters, thanks for including my fellow redheads in the question. ;) Honestly, I really don’t have a preference. All are welcome.
HC: Describe your ideal first date.NH: Dinner, some mini-golf, and then a nice walk where we can look at the stars (ideally) and get to know each other better.
HC: What can we find you doing on a Friday night?NH: HMMMM… Well, my Fridays are always unpredictable, but if I’m not traveling for volleyball, I usually enjoy a nice relaxing movie or game night. However, I can occasionally be found downtown or out for the night having a few drinks.
HC: What is your biggest pet peeve?NH: When someone decides to drive in the left lane at the same speed as the person in the right lane.
HC: Cats or dogs?NH: Dogs. I’ll accept a playful cat, but I’ll always need a dog in life.
HC: What’s something people would be surprised to find out about you?NH: I enjoy being a ginger and as a ginger, I don’t burn (when tanning). Everyone always gives me a hard time and makes jokes about having red hair, and yet I love it, and I love hearing the jokes even more.
HC: If you could take any celeb out on a date, whom would you choose?NH: Hands down, Jennifer Aniston. She has an awesome personality and is one of the hottest celebrities around.
HC: How does it feel to be this week’s campus cutie?NH: It feels a little weird because I’m very surprised to have even been nominated, but it’s an honor to be noticed, nonetheless.
