5 Thanksgiving Dishes That Every College Student Can Afford!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winthrop chapter.

As college students, let’s be honest we are broke!! With Thanksgiving around the corner, our families and friends will be having events that you have been waiting for all year!

And it’s because of the home-cooked food that we all have been missing and been too lazy to cook!

Here are five recipes to take to your family’s table for Thanksgiving or to your friend’s dorm for Friendsgiving!

1. Buttery Garlic Green Beans

This recipe takes only 20 minutes and costs around $7. With only 4 ingredients, this tasty dish will make everyone happy.

2. Stuffed Celery Logs

The stuffed celery logs created 27 servings, that’s perfect for a party.

3. Mashed Potatoes

Everyone’s favorite side dish, whether it is out of the box or made my hand.

4. Corn Muffins

Corn Muffins are an easy, cheap, and delicious option for your table!

5. Pumpkin Pie

My all-time favorite pie, hands down! Sadly, it may be cheaper on us just to pick this up from the local Walmart bakery section.

Now what to do with all these Thanksgiving leftovers, there is a traditional recipe for Stuffed Shells. These are a big hit when it comes to switching up how you eat the turkey! Happy Thanksgiving Collegiettes!!
