What is your involvement on campus?
I’m on the Chi-Omega Executive Board (Panhellenic Delegate), I am on the Council of Student Leaders, on the Lift Planning Committee, I am a Diabetes note taker, I am on the CPC Judicial Board and a part of the NAACP Economic and Employment Committee.
Why did you choose Winthrop?Â
My two choices were Winthrop and The University of South Carolina. I flipped a coin in the air and decided that I would go to Winthrop! I liked the small size, how pretty the campus was and how Winthrop feels like a community.
Why did you decide to run for Student Body President?
It sort of just happened, but it was always something that I thought about. Being apart of CSL freshman year made me see myself as the Student Body President. The timing was right, I made connections and was meeting many people, and I was gaining resources and knowledge to make Winthrop a better place.
What do you hope to achieve as Student Body President?
I hope to bridge the gap between the leader counsels and the student body. I hope to have everyone in the CSL trained properly and have the council leaders connect with the student body.
What was your reaction to the results?
I was very excited! I did not think I would win. I am a super humble person, and did not think that this would ever happen!
What is your favorite part about Winthrop?Â
Before college you do not know who you are, but Winthrop makes you become the person you knew you were–only in a better way.
