What are you involved in on campus?
Chrissy: I’m in greek life, I’m currently a Rho Gamma for CPC. I am also in Phi Upsilon an honor society for FACS. And I’m an office and night host in Wofford.
Jaime: I’m an office host and night host in Wofford.
How did you choose your majors?
Chrissy: I actually switched my major. I was early childhood education but then I decided that I didn’t want to teach but I still wanted to work with kids. So I switched to FACS with a concentration in early childhood studies.
Jaime: I was trial and error. I came in as an athletic training major and thought maybe not. Then I had the wonderful decision to become a biology major which was ludicrous. Then I saw human nutrition and thought, I could do this. I’ve always wanted to help people and I feel like with human nutrition I can probably do that the best.
What made you decide to come to Winthrop?
Chrissy: I really wanted a small school so the size was good and I really liked the campus.
Jaime: I never toured until World Wide Winthrop Day but I liked that the campus was small enough for me to get from point A to point B and remember how I got there. And the campus is just really pretty; we have some of the most beautiful sunsets.
How did you two meet?
Through mutual friends. We don’t actually remember the first time we met but we were part of the same friend group so we know it was through them.
How long have you been together?
Almost two years, a year and ten months.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
Watch movies. Netflix and chill.
What’s your ideal date?
Chrissy: Probably getting dressed up and going to a nice restaurant.
Jaime: I like going to the movies and sharing some wine afterwards.

Who made the first move?
Chrissy: I actually had a boyfriend when we met but that relationship wasn’t going well. I started to like him and eventually broke up with my boyfriend. I told Jaime that I liked him first. He overheard me telling our mutual friend that I really liked him.
Jaime: I was very respectful and kept the proper distance while she was dating her ex. I didn’t want to get my hopes up when I heard her say she liked me, I didn’t believe it at first.
What’s the best part about being together?
Chrissy: I feel like with us it’s really easy. We don’t have to try to make it work.We’re always cracking up and messing around and there’s no drama.
Jaime: I think we’re really good at handling problems and not getting into arguments. We talk like civilized human beings. And she’s really nice to look at by the way (he points to her and smiles).
What’s the weirdest thing to happen to you as a couple?
Chrissy: All of the freshmen always yik yak about him, the cute guy who works at the Wofford desk. I always joke that I’m going to sit there with him with a spray bottle.
Jaime: She’s being tame with that spray bottle She wasn’t very happy the first time I told her it was happening. She was pissed.
