The Female Empowerment Gym Playlist that You’ve Been Needing

Collegiettes, as much as we love our starbs and pizza, we all know that working out is a neccesity: it makes us feel good, look good, and sometimes it can even be… dare I say it… FUN. Excersing is just a way to make your mood overall better and it makes us feel like we have a handle on our life, and who doesn’t want that?

But when we roll up into the gym in our cute graphic tees and leggings, we know we aren’t fully prepared without a rocking playlist to help keep us entertained and motivated why we are running laps or pumping that iron, so here is a list of songs that will make you feel empowered, motivated, AND energetic!!!!

1. “Wings” – Little Mix: Our favorite modern girl band is always a must in terms of female empowerment. All of their songs make us feel like the bada$$ women that we are, and this song in particular has an awesome upbeat tune that is perfect for energizing us while we are doing the cardio portion of our daily workout! (P.s. if you imagine that you have wings while you are running laps, maybe they will go by faster).

P.S. Salute is another great Little Mix song to jam to in the gym!

2. “Confident “- Demi Lovato: Another one of our favorite lady bosses is definitely Demi Lovato, and she really delivers the girl power with this single! Not only does the beat hype you up when you need it most, the lyrics remind you that it is a-okay to love yourself and realize how awesome you really are!

3. “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” – Pat Bentar: This song is definitely one that will motivate you to work harder and make serious gains– then you’ll know that anyone can hityou with their best shot and it won’t even matter because you’re strong af!

4. “F*ck You” – Lilly Allen: This blunt message is meant to be sent to all of the bigots in the world, but you can also think of every person who has ever wronged you and how wrong they were as you are working on yourself.

5. “Survivor” – Destiny’s Child: Because you’re a survivor of that extra mile you decided to run today (even if you’re barely hanging on at this point).

6. “Flawless” – Beyoncé: Do we even need an explanation for this one?

7. “Needed Me” – Rhianna: This song always makes us feel fierce, and what a better way to motivate yourself to work just a little harder in order to live out your full HBIC potential.

8. “Respect” – Aretha Franklin: Because its a classic.

9. “Wanna Be” – Spice Girls: Everyone’s favorite girl power song is the perfect song to listen to during a long workout! Just try to avoid singing in the gym because that’s probably frowned upon.

10. “Sisters are Doing it for Themselves” – Eurythmics: Because we are sisters doing it for ourselves!
