College is the greatest time of your life. The Wonder Years, if you will. Since these glorious years are the purgatory between high school and adulthood, we can get away with things that other normal adults cannot. For example:
Â
1.    Wearing the same leggings every day for 2 weeks.
Ladies, we all do it. When was the last time you washed those leggings that you’re wearing? Shirts get dirty, pants don’t. Leggings are pants. THEY ARE.
Â
2.    Eating anything and everything.
Let’s talk about the many, many times that you and your roommates have attempted to make brownies. You then ate almost all of the batter with a spoon or attempted to bake it, it didn’t turn out, and then you ate the unbaked middle with a spoon anyways.
Â
3.    Tucking sweatpants into rain boots.
Don’t ever do this. But if you’re going to do it, you can do it in college.
Â
4.    Swearing by dry shampoo.
Day 1: take a shower. Day 2: don’t shower but your hair looks fine. Day 3: dry shampoo if your best friend. Day 4: wear a hat. No one will ever know. Just kidding we all know, but we all do it so it’s fine.
Â
5.    Giving gifts of booze.
Yes, it is true that as an adult the staple dinner party present is a bottle of wine. But only in college will you give and receive 2 handles of Fireball for your birthday, Christmas, and the Fourth of July.
Â
6.    Walk of Shame-ing.
As much as we would all like to think that the walk of shame is something we have not participated in, I would bet that all of us have done it in some way or another. Bonus points if you’ve done it in a toga.
Â
7.    Eating super nutritious meals.
Only in college can a balanced meal consist of leftover Chinese food, 3 cookies and some pretzel chips. No regrets.
Â
8.    Pregaming excessively.
I’m pretty sure pregaming continues to be a thing into adult life. I mean, look at all of the parents on game days. But drinking 3 mixed drinks and 6 shots 15 minutes before leaving the house definitely is not.
Â
These are just a few of the things that make college the best 4 (5…6?) years of your life. Enjoy them while you can, in the real world things change. So can we stay here forever or…?
