Culver’s Celebrates its 700th Opening: Here’s What You Should Know

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

In celebration of Culver’s opening its 700th restaurant, here are the top five reasons you should choose Culver’s for all your fast food needs.

1. Culver’s is Best Known for its Butterburgers.

Not even an exaggeration, Culver’s has the best burgers. They are made fresh every time you order. Coming from a picky eater, take my word for it — they are the best.

2. It’s Custard, Not Ice Cream.

Believe me, a dairy-loving Wisconsinite will correct you on this. Culver’s has custard, not ice cream. Made fresh every morning, Culver’s serves custard that is rich and creamy. They also have a delicious “Flavor of The Day” every day of the month. I highly recommend the Chocolate Oreo Volcano.

3. They Serve Cheese Curds.

I repeat, Culver’s serves cheese curds. If you live in Wisconsin, you know this is a gamechanger. You can sub in cheese curds for your side in any meal, or you could just order a basket of them alone. Either way, this is something that every Wisconsinite can get excited about.

4. Culver’s is based in Wisconsin.

The Culver’s headquarters is located in Prairie du Sac, just thirty minutes away from Madison. The first ever Culvers is in the neighboring town of Sauk City. Culver’s has many locations all across the state that you are likely to run into one in most towns.

5. Culver’s is now in 25 States.

Celebrating 35 years of business, Culver’s has drastically expanded and is now in 25 states! The midwest is bringing its’ dairy-loving culture to the south, east, and west. They plan to open up 50 more this year!

If you have not been to a Culver’s yet, I highly recommend you go to one as soon as possible. Culver’s wraps up Wisconsin culture perfectly and you’re in for a treat if you get to try it out. Let’s face it, Wisconsin will always be the Dairyland.
