With quarantine still happening, there’s still a lot of time left to watch movies and TV shows. I know I’ve been consuming a lot of media lately, especially that of movies and TV shows. Of course at the beginning of each month, there comes new stuff to be excited about. This is my to-be-watched list for March.

Moxie

This is a TikTok favorite at the moment. I recently watched it and I understand why. It follows the story about a high school girl trying to find herself and ends up starting a women’s rights revolution within her school. Now, the intended audience is obviously high school students and maybe even slightly younger, but the messages in the movie were really powerful. Not to mention we got the introduction to America’s new heartthrob, Nico Hiraga.

Behind Her Eyes

TikTok has also been going crazy over this show, but for a completely different reason. I haven’t gotten the chance to watch this yet, however it looks really interesting. It’s supposed to be a psychological thriller with dark themes.

WandaVision

Whether you’re a Marvel fan or not, I think anyone would enjoy watching this show. With all episodes now streaming, you can binge the entire season. I am a big Marvel fan, so of course I watched every episode promptly on Fridays and let me say, I wholeheartedly enjoyed this show. It was the perfect balance of superhero and romance and the last episode left me in tears for days. Once you’ve watched WandaVision, there’s a brand new series starting now that’s putting a new episode out every week for six weeks.

The Trial of the Chicago 7

With the Oscar’s approaching, The Trial of the Chicago 7 is on my list as one of the nominees as well. This movie is about the protests in Chicago against the Vietnam war. This movie has a lot of familiar faces and looks really interesting, especially considering today’s social justice issues involving police brutality and protests.

Mindhunter

This has been out for awhile now, but I still haven’t had the chance to watch it. Everyone has raved about it, so it remains on my to-be-watched list. I think we’re all a bit interested in the criminal mind and this is the perfect show to get that fix.

Outlander

Following the recommendations from my friends, I’ve started watching Outlander and have slowly but surely been making my way through it. It remains on my list of recommendations for anyone as it’s an easy watch and easy to have on in the background when working on homework.

The Great

Also another Oscar’s nominee, this one is on my to-be-watched list as well. I’ve been eyeing this show for awhile, but have never actually watched it. The show is about an arranged marriage and is a satirical take on old times.

I think there’s a good recommendation for any mood within this list and should be a good start to a binge marathon. Whether you want a more serious psychological thriller or a lighthearted TV show, there’s a little bit of everything. I hope everyone can take a bit of time to themselves this month to enjoy a bit of television or even enjoy it with some company!
