Gen-Z Musicians that Should be on Your Radar

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

While many Gen-Z artists are extremely well-known, there are many still flying under the radar.

It’s no secret that Gen-Z artists are taking over the music industry. From Olivia Rodrigo to Lil Nas X, these artists are pushing boundaries and rising on the charts. While these artists are extremely well known, there are plenty of other Gen-Z artists who are still flying under the radar. Here are some of my favorite Gen-Z artists that are currently becoming more popular and rising to the top of the charts.

Conan Gray

Coined the “Sad Prince of Pop”, Conan has already made his mark in the music world with multiple hit Tik Tok sounds. His songs “Heather” and “Manic” have both made their rounds on Tik Tok, but he is more familiar with another platform: Youtube. Conan rose to fame by posting YouTube covers and is now performing at Coachella. He is best known for being best friends with Olivia Rodrigo, and for his relatable and heart-wrenching lyrics.

Her music rose to popularity on TikTok, and she is now the youngest musician featured on Forbes’ 30 Under 30. Her second EP was also the most-streamed female EP of 2021 on Spotify. It’s clear that Tate is just beginning to take over the music industry.
