Naughty and Nice Gifts for Your Significant Other

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

Buying gifts for your cutie can sometimes be difficult.  There’s always the go-to’s: cologne and perfume, gift cards or maybe even a scarf.  While none of these are bad ideas, perhaps it’s time to amp up the creativity (and possibly the sex appeal) this holiday season.

Whether you want to play a saint or a sinner, this gift guide is sure to inspire you.

Naughty

Try heating things up with something sexy like a Skinny Dip massage candle.  Massage candles are inexpensive, yet thoughtful.  Tell your boo the next time stress is starting to peak to get out the matches.  There’s nothing like a hot wax massage to calm someone down (or, you know, the opposite of calm).

Nice

Setting up an Amazon Prime or Netflix account can be a totally considerate gift for a boo that loves good television.  Pay for however many months you want (that’s right, a budget-flexible gift) and get ready to snuggle in with your cutie in the coming winter months.

Naughty

When it comes to naughty gifts, it seems like an obvious choice would be a vibrator, but if you’re new to the sex toy scene, it might be a good idea to start smaller, literally.  Finger vibrators can be a great option for those that want to add a little spice to the bedroom, and they won’t break the bank.  Man or woman, opening this little gift is likely to cause a jolt of excitement. Nice

If you’re willing to splurge a little, why not get you and your SO tickets to a fun show?  Find out if a great comedian is coming into town or if bae’s favorite band is at a city near you. There’s no need to get to the front row (unless you can swing that sort of thing), because the best part about it will be being together.

Naughty

Show your SO how well you know what gets ‘em going by putting together a personalized pleasure kit.  Are you the silk-blindfold-and-fuzzy-handcuffs type of couple or the sexy-truth-or-dare-and-edible-panty type?  Maybe you’re some combination of both, or none.  Pick and choose items that will work for your rapport and have fun with it!  Try to incorporate something that has to do with your relationship, whether that be a favorite bottle of wine, theme, or something even more personalized.

Nice

If your bae loves the finer things in life  (and by finer I mean alcohol that costs more than $14) a great gift idea is quality scotch glasses.  Of course, picking out a nice bottle (whiskey, bourbon, vodka or whatever is your SO’s favorite) to go along with it is a nice touch, but what’s really sweet about this gift is that glasses like these are meant to last.  People don’t generally hold onto a lot of their kitchenware from their college dorms, but a good scotch glass can last more than a decade.

So whether you want to be Bad Santa or Good Santa this season, make sure to treat your SO with care and thought.  You’re sure to find something they love and get a little lovin’ under the mistletoe.
