Located on 322 West Johnson St., once home to the late Logan’s, now stands Red Rock Saloon. The bar that’s made quite the name for itself in Milwaukee has now landed its own spot in Madison. They recently opened February 14th and were warmly welcomed by the Madison community with lines down the block all weekend.
Red Rock sets itself apart from the State Street/University Avenue scene initially with its décor. Unique light fixtures, wood paneling and a motorcycle set up in the middle of the bar gives it an instant Western feel… And did I mention the mechanical bull? They also have a stage for live music performances.
Whiskey drinkers take note; Red Rock houses the largest collection of Jack Daniel’s in Wisconsin. They also have their very own classic cocktails. From the delicious root beer float-like Sarsaparilla to the Lynchburg Lemonade there’s something for every drinker’s taste buds (or if you prefer shots, the bar staff gets on the bar and pours them in patrons mouths).
To prepare your stomach for a long night partying filled with bull riding and dancing look no further. The Saloon has full restaurant services and a tasty menu of BBQ inspired grub. If you’re feeling adventurous you might just dare to try the “Unforgiven Challenge” which was featured on the Travel Channels “Man V. Food Nation”.
