Step-by-Step Guide on How to Pregame Like a Badger

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

What better time to start prepping for a Badger pregame than with our first home game approaching. As you count down the seconds until the earliest, most socially acceptable, hour to start your pregame, here are a few tips you should consider to take your pregame from 0 to 100.

Step 1:

Avoid the Facebook Invite

The last thing you want to deal with before the first tailgate of the season is to have your apartment alarm consistently buzzing because your friend’s boyfriend’s cousin’s brother somehow got ahold of the FB invite.

Step 2:

BYOB

You’re nice enough to host the pregame. They can bring the alcohol.

Step 3:

Hype Playlist

With Apple Music on the rise, what better way to start your 3-month trial than for the 3-month season of Badger pregames and tailgates. Or use Spotify and SoundCloud, which offer a wide variety (obviously including Jump Around) to get everyone pumped up.

Step 4:

Disregard the Mess

It’s inevitable that countertops will be swimming pools of liquor and it will be impossible to avoid getting your feet stuck to the floor. But that’s just the beauty of a pregame. Keep calm, and pregame on.

Step 5:

Make sure to make it to the actual tailgate

Don’t let that “one drink too many” ruin the greatest part of the day.

Once your apartment door shuts, don’t even look back on how great the pregame was, because from there the day will only get better. Next Stop: Tailgates.
