It’s a scene every UW-Madison student knows all too well: somehow ending up at Ian’s at the end of a night out, not entirely sure of how you got there, but incredibly glad that you did. After waiting in line and possibly making some new friends along the way, you finally get to that glass panel which protects the greatest treasure known to man: Ian’s Pizza. This is when you will be forced to make the most important decision of your life before marriage (aka which slice to pick), and that pane of glass is the only thing between you and your soulmate.
However, which slice you choose may have a direct correlation to your personality.
1. Cheese or Pepperoni
Despite being the classic of every other pizza place in the world, it should come as no surprise that Ian’s is no ordinary pizza place, and ordering plain cheese or pepperoni is just disrespectful to the creative pizza artists at Ian’s. You are probably reluctant for change or like to keep things simple. Your closet may be organized by color or you may be the most sober of your group.
2. Mac and Cheese
The outstanding favorite among Ian’s patrons, this slice is perfect after a night out, because it is delicious and looks like heaven. Ordering Mac and Cheese regularly shows you do not stray too far from your instincts. You know what you like and you are confident in your choices. You tend to listen to your heart and make decisions quickly (because mac and cheese is always at the start of the line). 3. Florentine
I see you trying to be healthy… with spinach, tomato, and feta, this slice has all the makings of a “healthy” slice of pizza. You are a person who cares deeply about the environment and the world around you. However, the fact that this slice is served on a slightly greasy paper plate shows that you can still let loose and have fun.
4. Cheesy Potato with Ranch
This slice is Mac and Cheese’s cousin on steroids. Ordering this slice proves you respect tradition, but also like to add your own twist to things.
5. Buffalo Chicken
You could have gone to B-Dubs, but it was probably closed, so you ended up getting the best of both worlds: buffalo chicken ON Ian’s pizza. This shows determination and a strong sense of resilience in tough times.
6. Smoked Brisket and Tots
Tater-tots on pizza show real spontaneity. It is unrivaled by other slices. You are also patient in getting what you want, because this slice is almost always the last one before you have to pay.
7. Macadilla Killa
This one is a rare Ian’s treat, as I have only seen it once, but if the rumors are true, it is everything great about the regular Mac and Cheese, plus the added deliciousness of a quesadilla on top?? If you order this slice, it probably means that you are spontaneous and maybe a little crazy. You tend to be indecisive, but that’s okay because in the end, you end up doing what you want and being rewarded for it.
While these Ian’s slices may show key points of someone’s personality, it is still wise to choose the slice you want. Besides, it’s Ian’s, and you can’t go wrong with any slice that you get there!
