Midterms have now passed (or are still going on this week) and I wanted to share how I was able to relax. Hopefully some of these tips will help you for finals!

Playing a game with friends or by myself. One of my favorite ways to relax is playing a game on my switch, whether it be Mario Kart or Animal Crossing. It’s so nice to play a slow game before going to bed, and it definitely helps me recharge for the next day.

Eating one of my favorite foods. I absolutely loved that Marketplace served the fried foods this past week, because mozzarella cheese sticks are my favorite comfort food! Even if it was just a one time thing, I loved treating myself to snack after finishing my essays or wrapping up my test. Combining a good meal with a movie or TV show is even better.

Self-care! Self-care can be a multitude of things, from changing your sheets, to reading a favorite book, to sitting outside and just letting yourself relax. I love being able to sit outside on my porch, but if you don’t have a porch, there are plenty of chairs outside around campus. Next semester, I’m definitely going to bring an Eno!

Yoga! Recently, I’ve gotten into yoga. I’ve found that the best way to enjoy it is finding an easy session on youtube and trying my best to get into it. I’ve even been able to convince some of my friends in my house to do it with me.

Going for a walk around Colonial Williamsburg. I’ve noticed that when I’m anxious, getting some fresh air really helps. I especially like seeing all the adorable dogs!
