- THE COMMITTEE by Albert Lavergne
- Locations: In front of Wood
If you were to talk to someone on campus about this sculpture, you normally wouldn’t hear it be called “The Committee”. I generally call this “the four guys in front of Wood” and I normally get a response of “Oh yeah, the one that has a guy in his ass.” No joke, I hear this quite frequently. It is by far the weirdest piece of art on campus.
Lavergne said that this piece “addresses the conflict between human limitations and spiritual expectations. The struggle to achieve and maintain physical balance develops a spiritual harmony.”

- WOVEN CORNCRIB by Randy Walker
- Location: In between Miller parking structure and Richmond Center
This has to be one of my favorite pieces on campus. Maybe it’s the colors of fibers within a metal corncrib, but I’m in love with this piece. On the Frostic School website, they said Walker’s work straddles precariously on several boundaries: solidity and transparency, structural stabililty and collapse, visibility and invisibility.

I don’t really have much to say on this piece besides the fact that it’s wonderful. The color captures your eye and you just want to sit and stare.
