Thanksgiving is the time of year where we get to reconnect with family and friends and indulge in a yummy Thanksgiving dinner. Many may think it’s hard to stay healthy during Thanksgiving, but I am going to give you some tips on how to balance your big Thanksgiving dinner while also staying healthy.
Â
Â
Â
Eat Breakfast!
Many people tend to skip breakfast on Thanksgiving in anticipation for the huge portions of food they are about to consume, but that is not the best idea. Starving yourself will only make you more hungry and will cause you to consume more when dinner is served.
Â
Â
Sleep Well
I know for many of us, Thanksgiving is a time to catch up with friends and family but make sure that you get enough sleep before Thanksgiving Day. Not enough sleep may amp up your appetite levels for the next day.
Â
Â
Skip Seconds
Fill up your plate as much as you can for only one trip. This will help reduce the amount of calories you intake and you will also be able to have Thanksgiving leftovers (which is the best part!)
Â
Â
Get Active
Take a walk early in the day. After dinner, encourage everyone to go out (if the weather permits) for a neighborhood stroll. This will be a great way for families to enjoy the holiday together!

Happy Thanksgiving, pretty collegiettes!Â
