The former Disney pop princess is finally back at it, after taking a 3 year hiatus from the music world, Miley Cyrus returns with a kick-butt, bad-gal attitude and a wardrobe to match. Following a very public break-up with her Australian fiancĂ©, Liam Hemsworth, her new album Bangerz was released October 4th with much evidence. Bangerz has a jam for everyone, even the boys, including a mix of ballads, hip-hop, dance beats, and a few special guests, such as Britney Spears, Big Sean, and many others. Whether you think sheâs crazy or crazy good, the songs from this album are bound to stick in your head for weeks with their unique beats, distinct sound, and catchy lyrics.Â
- âAdore Youâ: Miley starts off her album with a ballad, pouring her heart out into the melody. With lyrics like âI love lying next to you, I could do this for eternityâŠWe’re meant to be in holy matrimonyâ itâs pretty clear whom sheâs talking about. This song is perfect for those lovesick moods we all have!
- âWe Canât Stopâ: Whether youâre still in love with it or completely sick of it, this song is a chart-topping hit! With its controversial lyrics, contagious beat, and teddy bear twerking, this song was made to get a lot of attention. They certainly canât stop, and they wonât stop playing it on the dang radio!
- âSMS (Bangerz)â Featuring Britney Spears: Also known as âStrutting My Stuff,â this is one of the many girl-empowerment songs on the album. Both Britney and Miley are icons with plenty of girl power to go around. We also get to hear Miley rap for the first time – a little silly but hard to resist. To put it simply, this poppy song is perfectly fun and playful.
- â4×4â Featuring Nelly: This track makes you feel like youâre at a good olâ hip-hop hoedown! With its fast paced guitar, strong bass, and rap-bridge by Nelly, it is unlike any song youâve ever heard!
- âMy Darlinââ Featuring Future: Miley slows the album down with another love song about heartbreak and the infamous happily never after. Mileyâs sweet voice mixed with Futureâs rugged one creates the perfect musical combo.
- âWrecking Ballâ: Although the music video was deemed more disturbing to most than artistic (which is what Miley intended), the song speaks just enough for itself. It’s one of those songs every girl can relate to, that one break-up youâll never get over.
- âLove, Money, Partyâ Featuring Big Sean: The second party anthem of the album, next to âWe Canât Stop,â this song has a club beat and a catchy chorus. But Big Sean brings it to a whole ânother level. It’s impossible to not bust a move to this jam!
- âGet it Rightâ: This sassy, flirty song is one of my favorites. From the first time I listened to it, I knew I was hooked (and you will be, too). Itâs the girliest song on the album, but you’ll definitely be dancing in front of your mirror and singing into your hairbrush with this one.
- âDriveâ: Singing along with lyrics like âWhen I look you in the eyes, all I see are the lies. Been there, done that,â itâs hard not to get pumped up with this beat. It embodies everything you feel right after a break-up and lets you know just how much better you are without him!
- âFUâ Featuring French Montana: This song is more than a big âBEEP youâ to the one that broke your heart; it has a contagious sound and an empowering message that is guaranteed to boost your confidence.
- âDo My Thangâ: Mileyâs album is filled with tunes that make you want to join the âman haters club,â including this one. Just turn it up, jam out with your girls, and do âyo thang!â Be prepared for the serious rap game that Miss Miley lays down.
- âMaybe Youâre Rightâ: This track is certainly a hopelessly romantic one about walking away from a bad relationship. Another relatable song that will have you singing along with all its âooohs and ahhhhs.â
- âSomeone Elseâ: In the last song on the album, Miley gives a clear explanation to the world as to exactly why she suddenly went cukoo – she turned into someone else. (Everyone knows that after a tragic break-up, some girls decide that crazy is their only other option.) The album ends on a purely awesome, bumpinâ dance beat.Â
