College YouTubers are taking the YouTube community by storm. They’re relatable, inspirational and just overall, fun to watch. College YouTubers can lend an inside look into what specific colleges are like and have videos that can even be helpful when picking a college to attend.
Danielle is a rising junior at the University of Georgia, and most of her videos during the school year consists of videos chronicling her life as a college student. She is an upbeat YouTuber who has a strong following, which I think is due to her relatability and her positive nature. Her content includes lows in her life like breakups, how hard classes and finals actually are and how adjusting to college life wasn’t the easiest task for her. She often jokes saying she “peaked in high school,” and I know a bunch of us can relate to that same feeling. What makes her content really great is that her positivity and great work-ethic inspire her followers, she’s not afraid to mention the negatives and you can truly see how grateful she is to be in such a coveted position as a social media influencer.
Brooke has a ton of content on her time throughout college that is entertaining and helpful, and she is continuing her YouTube career while also having a full-time “real person” job. She will be working at Oracle and has promised her followers to post content all about what it’s like to be a business-professional. She has the classic college YouTuber content but also has various videos on career readiness that are extremely helpful to anyone looking for a job after or during college. Brooke also talks about her personal insecurities and even looks to her audience for advice on overcoming these insecurities. She and Danielle both have a podcast called Gals on the Go, where they motivate their listeners to grind and hustle, but also give advice and life updates (positive or negative). It’s honestly a great listen and I can’t start my Wednesday mornings without it!
Margot Lee is a rising senior at Syracuse University, who is literally GOALS. She just spent the spring semester of 2019 studying abroad in Europe. Most of her channel since being abroad contains travel vlogs and travel guides in the different cities she’s been visiting. She also has tons of advice videos touching a range of topics from roommate advice (even sharing her own roommate horror stories), the college admission process, rushing a sorority and so much more. From football games and dorm tours to Halloween costume ideas and party vlogs, Margot captures what it is like to be a college student. Her experience is one so many college students across America can relate to and learn from.
If you guys are anything like me and love to obsess and binge over influencers, these ladies are a great bunch to follow.
Here are some more college YouTubers on the come up, if the three mentioned weren’t enough: Emily Wass, Emma Topp and Abbey Asselin.
