Q: How long have you been playing football?
A: I started out at 4 years old and I’ve played every year since.
Q: What made you choose to play for WVU?
A: This is the type of place where you want to play ball. The support by EersNation is unbelievable. On my official visit here, it just felt right. It just so happens to be the perfect situation for my family and me. Being in the Big12 was huge, we play in Texas 3 times a year where I am able to see my family. I love to beat all of those Texas teams too.. being from Texas.
Q: What has been the highlight of your career thus far?
A: The moment that sticks out to me is throwing my first career TD to Kevin White against Kansas State. I will never forget that moment or the moments leading up to that.
Q: Do you find it hard being a student athlete? Why or why not?
A: It is challenging at times, but once you get into a routine it becomes easy. It helps if you love what you do like I do. It also helps to talk to the man upstairs, when it gets too much you just have to give it to him.
Q: How do you spend your off-season?
A: What is off-season? WE work year around! I’m probably busier right now than I was during the season.
Q: How has football impacted your life?
A: I’m not entirely sure where I would be if I didn’t have football in my life. It has opened so many opportunities in my life, ones that I would’ve never seen if I didn’t play. I’m blessed to be able to play this game.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: You can’t play ball forever. I’m not sure exactly what I want to do yet, I plan to graduate this upcoming summer and start working on my Masters degree in Integrated Marketing Communication while I still have football eligibility.
Q: What does being a Mountaineer mean to you?
A: It means a GREAT deal to me to be a part of this GREAT state and University. Most of all, I am thankful to be a part of this football team. Those are my brothers and I’d do anything for each one of them.
