After the Super Bowl, Jimmy Fallon hosted a Lip Syncing battle to end all Lip Syncing battles on The Tonight Show.
Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, and Jimmy Fallon (who squeaked Drew Barrymore into his final performance, which is grounds for disqualification, I feel), competed by lip syncing and dancing to some of our pop culture standards.

After all the hype of recruitment week, maybe you’re settling in for some fun with your new girl friends and need a good ice breaker. Or, maybe you’ve been cramming for upcoming midterms and can’t stand to look at your book any longer.
Regardless, we could all use a good stress reliever, and think taking a note from the kings of comedy is just the way to go!
So here are the basics to starting your own lip sync competition, so you can laugh the night away at the climactic (or anti-climactic) lip syncing and dancing your friends can do.Â
Â
Â
Here are the Ground Rules:
1.   Each participant will lip sync part of a song of their choosing.
If you and your friends are music aficionados, of if you just have a hard time narrowing your song options, try picking a specific genre or in a style that makes lip syncing more intense – screamo or opera, anyone?
2.   No other participants are allowed to know what song the other participants choose to sing until the other participant is performing.Â
For an extra challenging round, have everyone write names of well-known songs on pieces of paper and put them in a hat. The player picks a song from the hat and then performs without preperation. Expect these rounds to be a little less accurate in lip syncing, but 10x funnier in performance
3.   Select the number of songs each you will do.Â
Consider selecting just short clips of each song, so you can have more variety, especially in a large group.Â
Â
If you want someone to win the challenge, make more rules to decide how performances can be scored. Can you get extra points for miming the musical instruments, or maybe need to be strong in imitation of the singer in order to come out on top? Or, for a more audience-interative game for bigger groups, judge the victor based on number of votes or amount of appalause from the viewers.
Do be fair though and, unless you have your friend’s permission, don’t post their star-moments on snapchat.Â
