Give a warm welcome to HC WVWC’s latest Style Icon, Lindsay Moss!
Lindsay is a freshman here at Wesleyan, but fortunately, she isn’t too far from home.
The Buckhannonite hasn’t declared a major yet, but she’s currently exploring her options and is focusing on taking a few media studies courses next semester to explore the field further.
When Lindsay isn’t rocking out with the WVWC marching band, she enjoys making short videos, writing and listening to music. She is also an active member of SAI and Alpha Lamba Delta. Fun fact: though she calls Buckhannon her home, Lindsay was actually born in Killeen, Texas.
Perhaps the coolest thing about Lindsay—though all that other stuff was pretty cool—is that she marches to the beat of her own drum. On the surface, Lindsay seems awesome simply because of the originality she encompasses in her wardrobe.
If you actually have a conversation with Lindsay, you quickly come to realize that she’s just as unique in person. Her sarcastic wit and down-to-earth attitude are just as authentic as the combat boots on her feet.
And when it comes to being a style icon, Lindsay is just about as authentic as they come.
MS: How would you describe your sense of style?
LM: I try to keep it simple. Solid, darker colors and floral patterns.
MS: Where do you like to shop?
LM: I mostly frequent Goodwill and Kohl’s. I’m a big fan of shopping on a budget.
MS: What are some of your essential wardrobe pieces? Are there any you can’t live without?
LM: I love my black combat boots and black beanie– I wear them almost every day!
MS: Define “style” in your own words.
LM: I think style is an important form of self-expression.
MS: Do you have any tips for dressing for finals? Any advice about fashion in general?
LM: Wear different layers, that way you can adjust to the room’s temperature as you take your exam. Comfort is key! As far as everyday fashion goes, whatever you wear, wear it with confidence!
MS: How has your style changed over the years?
LM: I used to wear a lot of graphic tees, but now I prefer solid color or floral print tops.
MS: What are you looking most forward to wearing this summer?
LM: My light wash high-waisted shorts and flowy tank tops.
