Recently, Netflix added the hit Nickelodeon TV show Victorious to their streaming platform. Needless to say, I have been rewatching it ever since! Here is a list of my favorite songs from the show.
1. Take a Hint
This song introduced me to feminism. It’s a complete bop,and lyrics such as “”No you can’t buy me a drink, let me tell you what I think, I think you could use a mint” make important points about consent and respecting one’s decision to say no.
2. Best Friend’s Brother
Â
Â
This song made me wish that my childhood friends had hot brothers. It’s just so catchy. “BFB! BFB!”
3. Beggin’ On Your Knees
Â
Â
Victoria Justice really popped off on this one. 11 year old me was really ready to make her nonexistent ex boyfriend craw like a centipede.
4. Freak the Freak Out
Â
This song is another great bop. This one was and still is a great one to jam out to with you besties.
5. Make it in America
Â
This song is really sweet. It describes the dream of wanting to be successful in the industry, and it’s just really nice and heartwarming.
6. Make it Shine
Â
The theme song for the show, this song is uplifting and catchy. They lyrics of this song get referenced several other times throughout the series, and the song works perfectly to summarize the themes throughout.
7. Give it Up

Another girl-power anthem, this song features the powerful vocals of Elizabeth Gillies and Ariana Grande. It’s a great song to listen to if you want to just screw boys.
8. Finally Falling
Â
Before rewatching the show, I had completely forgotten about this song. As a kid, I probably found this song kind of boring. Now I think it’s really sweet and romantic. I don’t believe there are many songs like it on the soundtrack, which makes this song even more special.
