Favorite part of Xavier outside class: My favorite part of Xavier is Club Sports. I have made so many friends from the Club Softball team and those of other club sports.Â
Do you have any positions or jobs outside class? Yes! I am Club Softball President and Fry Girl at Danas.
Tell us about your major, for those who don’t know about it: Social Work is a helping profession, those that choose social work have a passion for helping those in need.Â
So we hear you have an internship, can you tell us about it?Â
I am a mental health intern at a local correctional institution. I have a personal caseload of inmates that I meet with each month to check on their progress with their treatment plans regarding their mental illness.Â
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
The most rewarding part of my internship is that I am able to work with a very tough population that has allowed me to get a better view of the penal system in America
What has made you grow the most during your internship?
It has been through my internship experience that I have been able to review what I want to do with my social work career.

Biggest piece of advice for Xavier Students: Get involved, your greatest experiences will come from those who share the same passions as you.
