Cake. 

It’s soft and sweet. 

A edible board 

To relay a happy message. 

 

Candles. 

They’re bright and bold. 

They hold a power for 

Wishes to be made. 

 

Cake. 

It’s gets eaten. 

The message is for one day. 

That’s all it is, 

Food. 

 

Candles. 

Are thrown out. 

They only truly serve one purpose. 

That’s all they are, 

Light. 

 

Good people. 

Are bright yet soft. 

Sweet yet bold. 

They give a happy today. 

 

Good people. 

Are pushed aside, 

When life gets in the way. 

But they are always there. 

 

Good people never leave one’s, 

Heart.
