Name(s): Connor and Tim Brooks
College: Pierson
Year: 2015
Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia
Â
As I made my way to the Berkeley Common Room to interview Connor and Tim, I see a two blonde athletic looking boys sitting on a couch with impeccable posture, hands folded in their laps, wearing suits. Only one thought came to mind…. Brooks Brothers.
Â
HC: Now I’ve got to ask, are you twins?
TB:  No, Connor is a year and a half older.
CB: I took a gap year.
Â
HC: What did you do during your gap year?
Â
CB: I traveled and worked. The program was through the organization Thinking Beyond Borders. I did projects on international development.Â
Â
HC: Where did you go?
Â
CB: I was in Ecuador, China, India, and South Africa
Â
HC: Do you guys like being in the same year?
Â
TB: It’s convenient.  No complaints.Â
Â
HC: What were you for Halloween?
Â
TB: Tweedle Dee.
Â
CB: Tweedle Dumb.
Â
The Brooks Brothers did not request to be put in the same college, but both got Pierson because their parents were in it. Much to my surprise other that the fact that they both play Rugby and are pledging SAE (hence their attire), the Brooks Brothers are very different.
Â
HC: What do you want to major in?
Â
TB: I’m pre-med.
Â
CB: Econ and International Studies.
Â
HC: What’s your dream job?
Â
CB: I want to travel a lot, go around the world. I want to do something I love not something that is boring or monotonous. I want to do something that the work is constantly changing.
Â
TB: Ideally I would love to be completely on my own time. I would live comfortably and quiet early. I am thinking about being an orthopedist or an ER doctor, something with lots of procedures.
Â
HC: What’s your favorite part about Yale so far?
Â
TB: Â All the different kinds of people.Â
Â
CB: I agree with that. Also, the amount of material available and the variety of classes. You can do anything you want here essentially.Â
Â
HC: Please finish the statement Yale girls are the best because…
Â
TB: Because they are great in all categories and they don’t go to Harvard.
Â
CB: Because they always exceed expectations.
Â
Great answer.
