You may know our Campus Cutie from last year’s Rumpus’s Fifty Most Beautiful Issue (his abs graced the cover). We’ve been eyeing him for a Campus Cutie for a while, and when we finally sat down with him we were told tales of a “gun-slinging cowboy” who is a DC fanatic and a bit of a klutz. If the Rumpus interview left you looking for more from Jeremy, look no further:
Rapid Fire Questions:
Party Anthem: “Midnight Life” The White Panda
Guilty Pleasure TV Show: Friends
Favorite Late Night Snack: Gheav Sushi
Celeb Crush: Jennifer Aniston or Mila Kunis
Relationship Status: Taken
HC: What’s your spirit animal?
JH: I think it’s a bald eagle or lion, but my friends are convinced it’s a stag. But I’m ok with that because that’s Harry Potter’s patronus.
HC: What are you involved in on campus? What is the favorite thing you do?
JH: Club basketball, tour guide, I do some Yale Dems stuff, I also do…I always forget…oh, radio show! And a whole bunch of homework. The homework is definitely my favorite thing. (laughs)
HC: When are you happiest?
JH: My favorite place in the world in the Lincoln memorial, so I would say sitting on the steps of the Lincoln memorial at night.
HC: Describe your perfect night:
JH: Perfect night would be maybe in NYC- no Washington DC- start out with great meal, specifically a steak house, and then walk down the National Mall at night. That’s my favorite.
HC: Do you have any secret talents?
JH: I like to scuba dive, I don’t know if that counts. Definitely no party tricks. Oh, and horseback riding- I’m a gun-slinging cowboy.
HC: Most embarrassing story:
JH: Lets go with the second most embarrassing. Sitting in the front row of Global Affairs lecture and right after a very moving video about the HIV/AIDS crisis in south Africa–the room is now very quiet–my chair collapses with a huge bang I wait about five seconds because I think maybe no one noticed (but everyone noticed). So I got up to move chairs and proceeded to throw my papers all over the front of the room.
HC: What is your most treasured possession?
JH: I would say all of my old pictures at home.
HC: Do you collect anything?
JH: Phone numbers…no I’m kidding. In reality, no.
HC: What is your dream job?
JH: Something where I wake up everyday to go to work and have the opportunity to make other peoples lives better, I’m not sure what capacity that is going to be in yet.
HC: What are your favorite qualities in a girl?
JH: Sense of humor, intelligence, passion, and crazy good dance moves.
HC: What is the most romantic thing you’ve done for a girl?
JH: Ooh that’s tough actually…there are just so many! (laughs) So for my girlfriends birthday I got food from her favorite restaurant and set up a movie night for just the two of us in Davies Auditorium. And we went on an *unnamed building rooftop for dessert.
HC: Yale girls are best because…
JH: Because they’re smarter than me and aren’t afraid to tell me when my jokes suck.
