On February 9th, the Glendon fashion club La Mode à Glendon held their annual fashion show and it was a total success! This year, the theme was “Remix”, and the fashion club’s vice president Kate Aquino spoke to me on why they chose that theme. She states, “the theme of Remix was chosen because La mode á Glendon welcomes all forms of fashion. We range from ethnic designs to thrifted outfits, allowing each designer to express their unique sense of style.”

The designers featured this year were Marc Antoine, Indy Antoine, Shannon Mulholland, Freestyle and Glendon Roots & Shoots. The outfits that were shown on the runway varied from 90s punk rock grunge to colorful tulle looks. Each designer had their own unique style which they showcased wonderfully through the outfits that their models wore on the runway.

In between the runway looks, the fashion show had two fantastic musical guests. 7 Lakes and Sammi Shyne & Famos of the M.O.B showcased their talent and fun music on the runway.

It’s also important to note that the beautiful models who walked the runway all had something different to offer. It is clear that La Mode à Glendon does not discriminate and welcomes models of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities.

If you were unable to make it to the show, you can relive it through photos available on the fashion club’s Facebook page. Make sure to keep an eye out for next year’s show as it will probably be just as amazing!
