To say that Rooney Mara’s star power has risen significantly over the past year would be an understatement. If you don’t recognize her by name, you might recognize her as Lisbeth from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo who stars alongside Daniel Craig. With such a popular film under her belt, it is safe to say that Rooney will be in the spotlight for quite sometime, which definitely is not something to complain about. Rooney’s style and outfit choices make her a top celebrity to watch so here are our top five looks that we love of Rooney’s:
1. Ok, let’s get one thing straight: You can truly never go wrong in Valentino. This is especially true of any dress that is in the signature Valentino red. That said, Rooney pulls off the outfit effortlessly at The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo premiere in Rome. Rooney always seems to end up in neutral colored outfits so the red is a nice change for her.
2. Rooney’s look at the AFI Awards in Beverly Hills stays classy and sophisticated yet also trendy and stylish. She pairs a gorgeous Lanvin top with a simple black skirt and pumps (I told you she likes neutrals…) to really embody her style and keep the focus on her rather than the clothes.
3. Little black dress anyone? At The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo premiere in Paris, Rooney donned this beaded, black frock. Of course, the dress is by Louis Vuitton and stays to Rooney’s classic style. What is great about this look is the red lip she paired the dress with. It makes her look much more polished and gives her a bit of a pop.
4. Rooney wore this Louis Vuitton ensemble to the Santa Barbara Film Festival at the end of January. Although this dress is fairly plain, the emerald green and shoes elevate the look to something Her Campus loves.
5. And last but not least… Rooney’s Nina Ricci dress at the Golden Globes. Everything about this dress is perfect but the cutouts are a main draw. Cutouts like these make the dress seem cool and fun yet also lend an air of riskiness and elegance. Even though she stays with her signature neutral colors, this outfit was definitely one of my favorites from the Golden Globes.
