For many of us, March and its mild climate couldn’t come soon enough. With temps on the rise and spring break right around the corner, chances are you’ve got warm weather fashion trends on your mind. I don’t know about you, but the moment the sun comes out and the temperature is warm enough, I’m trying to soak up as much sunlight as I can.
We all need a little Vitamin D to banish our seasonal depression, right? Whether you’ll be sunning yourself in Cabo or posted up in your own backyard, we’ve got you covered with the all the swimwear you’ll want for any of your spring break adventures.
- Athletic cuts
-
Though they’ve been a favorite of active girls everywhere, bikini tops reminiscent of your favorite sports bra are coming out strong this spring. It’s the ultimate top for everything from surfing, to beach volleyball, to just chillin’ in a lawn chair.
- Shirred tops
-
Shirred style bandeau and off-the-shoulder tops caused a huge stir last summer and that trend has now translated into swimwear for this spring season.
- Ruffled edges
-
Ruffled edges (sometimes referred to as ~lettuce trim~) transform any swimsuit style into a textured, delicate showstopper. The added movement is more fun and attention-grabbing than your standard straight-edged bikini.
- Colorful stripes
-
If you look at nearly every major swimsuit retailer’s website, you’re sure to find more than a few styles that include bold stripes, and I’m not mad about it. It breaks up the monotony of sticking to a single color without being too overwhelming like other loud patterns.
- Bralette styles
-
If you have a favorite bralette, chances are there’s now a swimsuit style just like it. I’ve seen everything from longlines, deep V’s, lace-ups, and halters make an appearance this season. These relaxed fitting, low-impact styles are perfect for taking it easy and soaking up the sunlight with a book in one hand a drink in the other.
Now that you’ve received your daily dose of style inspo, the only thing left to do is daydream about vacations and count down the days until we’re free from the clutches of assignments and midterms. Excuse me while I blast the new Jonas Brothers song and plan every outfit for my spring break vacation.
