Beauty on a Budget: Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm

I’ve never been a lip-product-addict. For me, nothing beats a tube of Chapstick. But come spring and summer, my lips feel a little lackluster without some color. Every now and then, nothing beats the matte look of a bright shade of lipstick, but for daily wear, lipstick can be a big commitment. Enter lipstain.

Lipstains do as eponymously promised — lots of color, little hassle. And what’s better than a lipstain that won’t break the bank? For $8.99, Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm will provide an enviable tint and healthy moisture.

This double-ended product has become a staple in my spring-to-summer makeup routine. The lipstain applicator is comparable to a marker while the balm is similar to my aforementioned Chapstick. The stain lasts for a couple of hours at most, so be sure to bring it with you for subsequent applications. To amp up its staying power, try starting with the balm and layering the stain over — it’ll help provide more even coverage.
