Some Of The Best Looks Gen Zers Wore During NYFW This Year

New York City was bustling during the week of Sept. 7-13 with the return of New York Fashion Week — a highly-anticipated week that designers, celebrities, and fashion lovers count down to each year to witness the debut of new collections and celebrate the artwork of fashion. NYFW is the best time for fashionistas to experiment with new trends or styles, and the streets of NYC turn into a runway of their own. 

New York Fashion Week brings in flocks of celebrities, influencers, and fashionable people to dazzle the streets of New York. Many celebrity looks had the internet buzzing, like Blake Lively at the Michael Kors show or Gigi Hadid and Naomi Campbell at the Victoria’s Secret World Tour show. Though to many, celebrities are the highlight of NYFW, the newest kids on the block who attended fashion shows were the young Gen Zers making names for themselves in the design world. As a Gen Zer myself, it makes me SO excited to see people from my generation making appearances at such influential fashion shows, especially since many of them rocked some of the coolest and trendiest looks. Here are some of the hottest trends Gen Zers featured in their New York Fashion Week 2023 looks.

Sheer Neutrals

TikTok queen Alix Earle rocked a semi-sheer cream dress with a trendy slicked-back hair updo while attending the Tory Burch fashion show.

Baggy Pants & Crop Tops

Kayphoria rocked the newest trend of white baggy pants paired with a cropped lavender blazer top while attending the Global Fashion Collective fashion show. Her matching lavender sunglasses were also a total slay.

Mini Skirts & Blazers

Actress Lukita Maxwell and model Gabrielle Richardson stunned while attending the Tory Burch show. Both Maxwell and Richardson matched in mini skirts, with Maxwell in an oversized blazer and Richardson in a sheer button-up top. The two also paired their outfits with red Tory Burch bags.

Little Black Dress

Influencer Madeline Argy chose an all-black ensemble, wearing a classic little black dress with black pumps and a black bag to the Tory Burch show. She paired her look with silver earrings and a white headband that made her look pop.

Smoky Leopard

Loren Gray wore a matching leopard pants-and-cape set to the Naeem Khan show. The black and white design paired with the bedazzled bralette is everything.
