New York Fashion Week, Spring 2014 brought its usual host of crazy and crave-worthy collections from the world’s top fashion designers. Here are just a few of our favorite collections from the week.
1. Prabal Gurung
With vivid pastels and sculptural shapes, this modernized Marilyn Monroe-inspired collection looked less like a wardrobe and more like a work of art.
2. Rodarte
Designed by the L.A. based Mulleavy sisters, Laura and Kate, this collection boasted authentic So Cal street style with fringed leather minis, animal prints, and oversized accessories.
3. Creatures of the Wind
This collection’s unusual color palette and vintage silhouettes bought an ethereal vibe to Fashion Week.
4. The Row
The Olsen twins brought a Moroccan-inspired feel to the runway with tassels, silk panels of floral embroidery, and sheer scarves.
5. Helmut Lang
With an almost entirely black and while palette and sharp, clean lines, this collection nailed the minimalist look.
6. Tracy Reese
This collection brought a multi-cultural island feel with feminine accents, flaunting pretty eyelets, ladylike lace, and tropical prints.
