It’s no secret that college students are obsessed with beauty — visit anyone’s Instagram feed and you’ll see a colorful collection of balms, texture swatches and vanity flatlays every few posts. But what goes into making an Instagram-worthy winner? Just because a product is buzzworthy doesn’t mean it’s necessarily valuable. Things tend to go viral after so much word-of-mouth marketing – but then there are those viral products that also happen to be legitimately amazing. ICYMI, those are the ones we’re talking about here: buzzed-about creations that live up to the hype. The ones with packaging that totally enhance a shelfie and also have unbeatable formulas and results.
We never anticipated that a best of beauty list like this would exist — literally an awards category solely to honor the products you see DM’ed, reviewed and re-grammed again and again — but here we are. And we have to admit, it’s kind of awesome.
