Welcome to HC Lasell member’s day in our lives! We are all going to be taking readers through what a day in our life looks like as busy college students. Our writer, Anna, is going to talk about what it’s like being a freshmen fashion design student.
In college, it is a good idea to put your best foot forward. Every day I work to follow a consistent schedule that is beneficial for me and my health. Although not every day is the same, here is a simple schedule for my Tuesdays.
9:30AM – I am lucky enough to have later classes, so I get to sleep in! On the days I get breakfast, it’s something simple and I go around this time.
10:00AM – At this time I get dressed and ready for the day. In the colder months, I reach for sweatpants with a basic baggy tee and sweatshirt. When it gets warmer, I like to wear biker shorts and a graphic tee.
11:00AM – I start class! On Tuesdays, I have “The Fashion Consumer”, which discusses consumer decision-making and marketing tactics brands use. It is very interesting and is really applicable to the fashion field and to our everyday lives as consumers.
12:30PM – After class, I head to the dining hall and get lunch.
1:00PM – Get tested for COVID-19. In this new world, this is a small adaptation we have had to make to our day-to-day college lives.
1:15PM- Get coffee! Despite my efforts to sleep a decent amount, it normally doesn’t happen. Before I start my homework I go on a coffee run.
2:00PM – Around this time I start my homework. I normally have several hours of homework a day, so I try to break it up.
4:00PM – After doing homework for a while, it’s time for a break. I normally go to the gym and do cardio and then either legs or arms. When I come back to school, I do more toning exercises and core.
6:30PM – After I get back from the gym and shower, I head to dinner with my friends.
7:30PM – Back to homework! I work from this point until I have everything done. After that, I decompress by watching a movie.
Overall, my days are good and I enjoy learning about fashion at Lasell University!
