Today’s shower time: 3 minutes (but I didn’t have to wash my hair so it doesn’t quite count)
The shower situation: had to be quick to get in as much mom time
Why you should come back tomorrow: to see how much fun my mom and I had
You’re catching me in my last few weeks of college. It’s been an incredible four years. Yesterday I realized how close graduation is because my mom arrived for her last mom’s weekend. U of I has a mom’s and a dad’s weekend each year and my parents haven’t missed one. In fact, they’ve had eight years of Illinois events. My older sister is an Illini, giving my parents many years of fun (and tuition bills).
This mom’s weekend was perfectly planned with the start of my blog. My family has been annoyed with me for just about ever. They don’t enjoy waiting for me to shower. Personally, I think it’s their fault I don’t have my own shower, but for the environment’s sake I’m cutting back.
After a night out with some pretty fun moms, I pushed my long run back to Sunday (more on half marathon training in a later post), making this morning’s prepping pretty simple. As I write I’m waiting for my mom to pick me up. I want it documented that I am waiting for her. She seems to think it’s always the other way around. We put the mall and pedicures on the agenda. However, we’re really just going to enjoy each other and the day.
Check out the rest to see a picture of my whole family, and you can let me know if you think my sister and I look like twins. Whenever we’re together at least one person asks us if we are. Is that worse for the 21-year-old or the 28-year-old?
Please let me know if you have any ideas for a short Sunday shower, since I will have to wash my hair after a 10-miler!
