Earth Lovers: Rapunzel, Rapunzel…stop wasting water

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

Hey guys!

I’m coming straight from today’s shower, smelling like watermelon and eucalyptus today. My friend asked me today what the most difficult part of the Three-Minute Shower Challenge has been so far. I responded by telling her that it’s been pretty easy. The key to my smooth transition? Short(ish) hair.

This winter, I cut 10″ off of my hair and donated it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, which creates free wigs for female cancer patients. I went from looking like this (on the left):

to looking like this:

The amount of shampoo, conditioner, and water I used in the shower decreased dramatically.

I don’t know anyone who’s had a bad experience donating their hair. After about two years of growing your hair out, it’s fun to mix it up and try something drastically different! Would you consider donating your hair?

Today’s conditioner review:
The Rainforest Moisture conditioner is wonderful. Like the Rainforest Balance shampoo, it does its job well with just enough scent to keep me happy and smiling when my hair’s down.

Come back tomorrow for more water saving tips, another product review, and some fun water facts!
